Health iQ and Imperial College London launch course on real world data

Imperial College London continues its partnership with EIT Digital and Health iQ to launch a certified course on ‘Data Science Essentials with Real World Data’.

Real world data (RWD) is of growing value to researchers precisely because it is increasingly used to inform decision-making in healthcare. It can be used for numerous purposes such as measuring healthcare related resource-use and the burden of disease, evaluating prescribing, describing current treatment patterns for a patient group for baseline information patterns or clinical outcomes of a new medicine.

Hassan Chaudhury, Chief Commercial Officer at Health iQ is one of the instructors having led the work to design the course. This course is unique in combining academic, healthcare and industry expertise in real world data and follows on from data science and eHealth courses Health iQ helped to develop over the last two years. There is a dearth of validated courses that fuse data science content with real world data which this course will seek to address.
